This gear-driven rotating bowl power mixer is made by Merksohn and is very handy because you don’t have to do stop and go mixing of ingredients. It is a mixer with it’s own durable plastic bowl attached by a stand. The bowl has a ridge at the top edge of the bowl and it rotates by a gear attached to the mixer stand. The unit is compact and uses less counter space than the traditional Sunbeam Mixers. They are also less costly.
The mixer comes with 2 heavy-duty beaters, 2 dough hooks, balloon whisk, and a 3-qt. bowl. I like to make bread, so I wanted a mixer that had dough hooks. The bowl isn’t as large as some other brands of mixing bowls, but if you do small batches, it should work just fine. Does a good job on 9x13 cake mixes, could probably do double that amount easily.
The unit pops apart for easy cleanup and the mixer can be hand held if desired. The ridge at the top edge of the mixing bowl can be a job to clean, I use a vegetable brush to clean out the ridges.
