Obliterates facial hair, guaranteed

Written: Nov 06 '99
Pros:close, smooth shave. long lasting.
Cons:expensive, but not in the long run

I've tried many methods of shaving. I've used Gillette two blade razors for as long as I've grown facial hair. I have a Norelco electric razor, but the only thing I like about it is it can't cut you and it's fast. When I saw the ads and read the Popular Mechanics article about Gillette's Mach 3, I was amazed. The price put me off for quite a while. I finally broke down and bought one.

What a world of difference. I still have to shave in short strokes, and it isn't much faster, but it is incredibly close and smooth. The blade cuts me far less than the two blade style. Amazingly, I've found that it works better for me without shaving foam, possibly due to the lip that is implanted with lubricant. The open back design (you can see through the blades) helps it last much longer than conventional blades. So much so that it saves money rather than costs more.

My mother uses a Mach 3 on her legs and loves it. If it can stand up to a woman's legs, it is a real razor.

Well worth the money, and lives up to every bit of hype.
