| howdygirl's Full Review: Kenmore Frost Free Upright Freezer |
To own a freezer is a must in this day and age. If you are going to buy one, be smart and do it right the first time. I originally bought this freezer when I won two cases(44) of whole chickens at a meat shoot. As you could imagine, that very next day I had to purchase a freezer. Not only did it serve the purpose of the chicken, but I can also stock up on meats and frozen items while they are on sale. This will definitely make up for the inexpensive freezer.
This Kenmore frost free upright freezer has all the features you could possibly want and need. First and foremost, this freezer is frost free. Second, it has plenty of durable shelving. Third, is very cost effective.
With having a frost free freezer, there is no monthly cleaning and mess to concern yourself with. For me, that is a definite plus. The only part I need to clean is the outside where dust collects.
I know many people who don't really think about the shelving when they purchase a freezer. You should!! The more durable shelving you have, the better. The reason for this is so that your shelves aren't be overly weighted by having to much food on them. This is very important. I have seen many of my friends have problems due to the shelving alone. Who wants to keep buying replacements? Not me. Especially when I can do it right the first time.
This particular freezer was/is very cost effective. I saved a ton of money as this item was going to be discontinued and was on sale. That is definitely a good time to purchase a freezer. It also is energy efficient. My electric bill hardly notices my freezer being there. In the long run, I will more than have made up for the cost.
Some other features include a guide for how long different frozen foods last. Another would be no awful smells like my refrigerator/freezer has. It also has quite a few settings for temperature. Plus, you don't have to dig since it is an upright. You can plainly see all your food items and takes up less space versus a chest. That is why I chose an upright over a chest.
When considering the purchase of a freezer, this particular freezer could make your life so much easier and really doesn't cost as much, especially when compared to the hassles you contend with. You will make a happy person out of yourself with all the benefits this freezer has to offer.
