GEORGESep 15 '00 Write an essay on this topic.George came to my house a few days ago and I decided to let him stay. George was willing to take over the duties of washing the dishes. So I retired my 6 foot balding, graying dishwasher to his recliner to watch old Western movies. He sure is enjoying his leisure time. George is the name given to my brand new Maytag Performa Dishwasher. When someone offers to help with the dishes I tell them "Let George do it". George has the standard top and bottom rack with the removable utensil basket. When loading the utensil basket it is recommended to put some flatware handles down and some handles up to prevent nesting. Always place sharp or pointed objects down. The top rack hold glasses, cups, small bowls, and cookware. Use the bottom rack for large items, placing the soiled surfaces toward the center of the rack. Also in the middle of the my bottom rack behind the wash tower is an elevated area where I can load extra small plates, saucers and shallow bowls. George has these cycles: Heavy Wash, Normal Wash, Light Wash, and Rinse Only. Other options George offers me are: Sani Heat, Accu Temp, Heated Dry, and Delayed Hours. Sani Heat, Accu Temp, and Heated Dry can be turned off or on with a push of a button. The Delay Hours is set with the dial and washing can be delayed up to 6 hours. George is just loved in this household. I spent the entire day trying him out to see how he performed. I washed everything in my cupboards, except my iron skillets and anything that had wood on them. These items are not recommended to put in your dishwasher. All items came out squeaky clean with no spots. I have not had to pre-rinse my dishes under the sink faucets to remove food before putting into George. George is sure earning his keep and will not be allowed to retire too soon. He will not know the easy life of sitting with his feet up in a recliner and watching OLD WESTERN MOVIES. |
