In general, I've been very happy with Kenmore appliances. I always wait for great sales which seem to be a least once a month at Sears. Last year, I replaced our 10 year old Whirlpool dryer with this Kenmore model. I went for the high review of the model, the good price, and the success I've had with other Kenmore appliances.
This dryer has many settings including a moisture setting that will shut the dryer off when the clothes are dry. Unless you want wrinkled clothes you would probably only use this feature for towels, etc and use the wrinkle-guard feature for clothes that you do not want wrinkled. You can set the dryer to dry for X minutes and then go to wrinkle guard. At the end of the time, it buzzes fairly loud to let you know that it is done and then for the next (I think) 45 minutes it will spin for a few seconds and then shut down for about 30 seconds and then repeat the cycle. This is a nice feature.
There are 4 heat settings, low, medium, permanent press and high. This dryer works very well on the high setting. We put between 10 and 15 towels in at once and they will all be very dry in about 45 minutes which is about 1/2 an hour sooner than my old dryer.
The lint catcher is on the inside in the front of the drum section. It is easy to clean and captures the majority of the lint. I get better results if I clean the lint screen half way through the large towel load though.
Again, for the price/performance, I am very happy with this unit.
