| SpudGirl's Full Review: Presto Powerpop Microwave Multi-Popper 4830 |
We purchased our PowerPop close to two years ago and have been very pleased with it. The popper, endorsed by Orville Redenbacher, works in the microwave with the aid of a cardboard and foil-like disk. These disks can be used over and over again, especially when air popping the corn. They are sold separately, and a package lasts us several months.
The Power-pop is the only popcorn popper I've used that gives you the option of air popping your corn, or using butter or oil. What we like to do is coat the unpopped kernels with butter-flavored cooking spray (like Pam). The popcorn comes out butter flavored, very yummy and very low fat! This popper works great for both the health conscious and the butter lover!
The popper is very easy to use - just add the kernels and the oil or butter (if desired) and pop it into the microwave! It's also very easy to clean - the plastic wipes off easily. I made the mistake of washing the base, which isn't supposed to be submerged in water, but it worked just fine again after being dried out.
The PowerPop is very reasonably priced and well worth the money, especially if you're a popcorn lover.
