Cheap Tools Cost More

Just want all to know that cheap is not the way to go. For example I go out and buy the $9.99 socket set and go home to work on my car and break the brand new quality rachet. And yes this has happened to me. So back to the store I go to trade and get a new one. Now back at home I finally finish my job and I am glad I did not break any more pieces. Then two or three days later I work on my lawnmower and break a socket. So off to the store to exchange for another new set of sockets. So now within a week I have been to the store three times and this was getting old. The money I spent on gas I could have bought a new set of sockets. And then I was wondering what is my time worth ? And then you really think about that because any more time is important! Has anyone come around lately handing out free time , not around where I live. In the 90"s time is only a compact set of a few hours to cram everything into and most of the time is not yours because your on a time clock working for someone else.
So here is the reality of my search for quality sockets. The more you pay the better they are is not the way to go. The sockets I have now are craftsman sockets and I have had then for two years and use them two or three times a week on almost anything. And I have not broken a single one . The set I bought was on sale and was a great price. And I would recommend them to anyone.I have eight brothers and yes they all got craftsman products for Christmas last year.
So I suggest spend a little more and you will save a lot. And if you cannot afford craftsman look around ask friends there are other brands that are built to last.
If you bought a cheap set at $9.00 each year you would spend $90.00 in ten years and if you bought a quality set once you would spend around $75.00 and they would last a lifetime.
