1 angel food cake mix
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. thawed strawberries
3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin

If you bake a angel food cake, cover carefully and store overnight.
Drain strawberries and reserve juice. Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup hot water; stir in reserved strawberry juice. Refrigerate until slightly thickened. Fold in drained berries. Refrigerate until set.

With serrated knife, cut inverted cake crosswise into 3 even layers. Place bottom layer on cake plate. Spread half the strawberry gelatin mixture over cake almost to edge.
Add second layer and spread with remaining gelatin mixture. Cover with top cake layer. Refrigerate.
Just before serving, top with Cool Whip, garnish with strawberries.
