Lighter Fluid

Feb 06 '00

Lighter fluid is a common house hold item. As a former carpet installer I would like to point out that it is also a great spot remover. WD 40 is also a good remover but since it is oil based then I would only reccommend it's use on vinyl flooring and not on carpet. With lighter fluid you just squeeze a little on the spot and just work it out. Just thought that I would drop a little hint that I used all the time when I did residential jobs. Please make sure that you dint use wd 40 on carpet because it will collect dirt and it will look horrible. Lighter fluid will work just as well on vinyl floors. If you have a kool aid stain than it wont work. Kool aid is a dye and it will not come out.
