I don't wear much makeup, however I decided to list my few favorites and tell what I like about them. I personally prefer a more "natural look" so my list of items is small, but I do wear foundation, lipstick, and of course eye liner. I most definitely could not go without the eye liner.


Since I feel like a clown when wearing makeup that is noticeable, I only wear shades of brown and do not apply very much. I'm not saying others look bad with makeup. I just personally believe I look better with less noticeable makeup on.

Since I don't like having to apply my makeup tens times a day, I try to look for makeup that stays put longer. Lots of brands claim that their makeup lasts for hours, but in my experience they are wrong and I was left feeling a little ripped off on several occasions. Especially considering that most of the makeups that are suppose to be long lasting are awfully expensive.

The lipsticks that I have tried that actually were as they claimed are Loreal Color Endure, Covergirl Marathon, and Maybelline Great Lip. All three of these lipsticks do really seem to stay on longer than most other lipsticks I've tried. I like the way they go on as compared to other lipsticks also. They are not too glossy or slippery, but yet they are not impossible to get on either. They go on good and stay on good. I cannot remember the exact prices for these lipsticks, but I do believe they were all about 5-7 dollars a piece.

The only long lasting foundation that I have found to actually be long lasting is Maxfactor Lasting Performance. Unlike some foundations, it is easy to put on and glides on smoothly, but is not too liquidy. It provides a flaw-less matte looking finish. However, unlike some matte looking makeup, this one does not look powdery. I do not care for the powdery makeup because it makes my skin look dry.

My favorite eye liner, believe it or not, is a cheap eye liner. I have tried the more expensive brands like Covergirl and were not even satisfied with them. But this one goes on easily and stays in place. It is not smeary while trying to put it on and it does not smudge later in the day like most of the others I have tried. This one is BonnieBell Eye Definer. Most of the other cheap eye liners I've tried were too impossible to even get on, but this one is not like that.

Well these are basically my only makeup necessities. If your like me and you prefer makeup that is easy to apply and also stays in place awhile, I would recommend you try these brands.
