Double Dipped Chicken Nuggets
Sep 17 '00
This recipe is a favorite with my 2 children. I will admit, they do eat anything and everything, but this is still one of their favorites.
Here is what you do.....
PREHEAT OVEN TO 400*
INGREDIENTS
1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
1 Cup Finely chopped Corn Flakes
4 Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1 inch strips
1/4 Cup Margarine
DIRECTIONS
In a small plastic bag, combine Flour & Seasoned Salt. Toss to mix. Put the crushed cereal in another small plastic bag. Melt the Margarine and put in a bowl, set to the side. Dip the chicken strips in the flour mix first, Then dip the chicken in the Margarine, then finally dip the chicken in the Cereal making sure you have a good coat of cereal on the chicken. Place the chicken on an un-greased 15x10 baking pan, and put in the oven.
Bake at 400* for 15 - 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink. I serve the chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. (can you hear my arteries clog as you read this???) We like to dip our chicken in Honey, or my husbands favorite, Jim Beans BBQ sauce.
~enjoy~
