Hot sausage & cheese dip

This dip is a hit even with my husband who doesn't particularly like cheese.

1 lb. pork sausage (hot or mild)
1 can diced tomatoes & green chiles
OR
1 jar salsa
1 large block of Velveeta, cut into cubes

1. Brown and crumble the sausage. Drain.

2. In medium saucepan on medium low stove, combine sausage and can of tomatoes & green chiles (or salsa). Heat it up until it bubbles a little.

3. Put cheese in a few cubes at a time, stirring frequently to melt it, until all the cheese is melted and mixed well with the other ingredients.

4. Serve with tortilla chips. It can be kept warm in a crock pot.
