Bonkers for Mom's Blueberry Sour Cream CakeMay 10 '00 Write an essay on this topic.This is my favorite Cake, made by favorite Lady in the Whole World; Mom! I think I have learned everything about cooking from my Mom. I can't compare my cooking to your; but I do love this recipe. Thanks Mom! 2cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup of brown sugar 1 cup of chopped nuts ( your preference) 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream 2 cups of fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries slightly thawed 2eggs In a medium bowl stir together flour,baking soda,and salt and set aside. In a bowl combine brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon and set aside. In a large bowl mix butter sugar and vanilla, beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat in sour cream. Add flour and beat til smooth. By hand fold in blueberries. Spread 1/2 of mixture into a greased bundt pan or a 13x9x2pan. Sprinkle 1/2 brown sugar mixture over batter. Put remainder of batter on top, spread and add remaining brown sugar mixture on top of the batter. bake at 350* for 45 minutes to an hour depending on your oven. Cool and Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. (Optional) |
