I found out just how durable and long lasting these inexpensive lawnmowers can be. When I was stationed over seas, we did not have much of a choice as to what our Base Exchange carried. So I needed a lawnmower bad on a very tight budget. They had a Murray 20" cut with a 3.5 HP engine and side discharge chute. $99.00 was the price so I bought it. Well, we lived over there for 7 years and I used the same mower all the time. Never changed the oil, (to lazy) didn't have a garage so it received very little protection from the elements. I got to tell you, that mower started EVERY year faithfully. I since returned from over seas 7 years ago and bought another Murray 20" cut side chute lawnmower with a 3.5 HP engine upon arrival. Again, I have owned it over 7 years and the only thing wrong with it is the hardware in the handle. Easy fix. It still starts faithfully every time. I do believe my brother-in-law in England Is still using my old Murray too. If you are a young couple just starting out and need a GOOD quality lawnmower, or just want a great mower for a good price, look no further than your Murray dealer. They sell a large range in every price point from $99.00 basics to $279.00 key start self propelled. They also carry a great line of riders starting at $999.00. You will definitely find a good affordable dependable product in Murray. I now work part time in our Base Exchange here at Mountain Home. We care a large line of Murray lawnmowers and people seem to be very happy with them. I rarely see them come back. I enjoy selling them as much as owning one. I do plan to upgrade mine to a 20" cut 6.0 Tecumseh with rear discharge. They run around $149.00 and you can install optional mulching kits on them. Great price for a great lawnmower. So take it from hands on experience, make your next Lawnmower a dedicated durable Murray, you cannot go wrong. They are all backed by great warranties as well. If they can with stand the abuse I have given them, just imagine how long they will last when they are taken care of.  |
