Oxo Good Grips Kitchen ToolsFeb 22 '00 Write an essay on this topic. When in the market for kitchen tools, I would highly recommend checking out Oxo's Good Grips line of kitchen and garden tools. The trademark of Good Grips is, obviously enough, the grip; each handle is large enough to comfortably fill the hand, and is coated in soft rubber with ridged grips in just the right place for a thumb or finger hold. The tools are all quite sturdy, and have held up well through numerous dishwasher cycles and washings. Since the handles are plastic, not wood, exposure to the dishwasher and the elements won't hurt them. The garden tools, especially, have been through the wringer, and have been buried, stepped on, rolled over, baked in the sun for days, rained on, and everything else you can think of. I especially recommend the Good Grips vegetable peeler. It's a good bit bigger than standard all-metal veggie peelers, and using it is much more comfortable, faster, and more convenient than a conventional peeler or even a knife. You can usually find the Oxo Good Grips products at gourmet kitchen stores or larger chains like Bed, Bath and Beyond. They're a little more expensive than the tools you find at, say, the grocery store, but I can pretty much guarantee that they'll last much longer and hold up much better. |
