Manly Yes, But I Like It Too!

May 01 '00

As far as I am concerned, there is no comparison with foil vs. rotary razors. My husband owns a Norelco Lift and Cut #850RX rotary razor. Although it is good at times, his Gillette Mach 3 is by far a better way to shave. How do I know? Well, let me tell you.

My husband has a heavy beard. We both wish that the hair that grows on his face would grow on the top of his head. He even thought if he lost enough weight, the hairline would come together on the top of his head. Well folks, it doesn't work. So, instead of looking like Saint Anthony, and there is nothing wrong with that, he chooses to shave his head. He has a nice shaped head, except for the spot where he was hit over the head with a lead pipe, but that's another story.

Anyway, I am the barber when it comes to my husband's grooming. We have used bic razors and many of those throw away brands, and it takes so long to get all the hair off his thick skull. I also tried his Norelco electric razor. Then, I splurged and bought him the Gillette Mach 3 for under $15.00. This razor is wonderful. In half the time of an electric razor, his head shines like the full moon over the water.

I also use the razor for my personal grooming. And yes, I do that myself. You get one replacement blade when you buy it and then they sell packages of 8 cartridges for $12.00. It is worth every cent.

If you are thinking about buying an electric razor, for more than half the cost, try a Mach 3 first. You will not be disappointed. If you don't believe me, just ask AC!
