Pros: Easy to use Administrative Menus. Inexpensive. Easy uploading. Cons: Went down "once"
Summary: After using addr.com for a year, I finally gave up. I had to get a new host for my sites. So, after a month of research on Epinions, talking with other web masters, and searching the Web, I finally found a web host that I wanted to be ... read more

Pros: Used to offer good service, like a year ago! Cons: None at all! Go elsewhere!
Summary: Worked with Cedant for over 5 years. They used to offer good service at a reasonable price. I don't know what happened to them but they have become extremely horrible! I went out of my way to try to get them to address the poor service but was just ... read more

Pros: Lots of space for very little money Cons: Everything else
Summary: The service is unreliable, it's always going out. The billing is confusing, and they're always making mistakes, but they never admit they're wrong. They make the smallest tasks, like adding a new domain to your account, extremely complicated. Their ... read more

Pros: solid performer, responsive, reasonable value Cons: some small weirdnesses (detailed in body of review)
Summary: I have been with Cedant as webhost from 2001 until present (2005). This includes going through the platform changeover in mid 2002 which was not so bad for me. No biggie since then. I am mostly happy with them. Things I like: ssh, ssi, cgi, ... read more

Pros: Every other company you deal with will seem pleasant and competent by comparison. Cons: Everything: A collapsing ISP dying under the weight of its own ineptitude.
Summary: I originally signed up for Cedant due to their high reviews here on Epinions. For the first 15 months, everything was great - customer service was good, the technical tools were nice and the service was flawless. Then the dark times began in June 2002. ... read more

Pros: None. Cons: Mail servers are down for days each week. Their email service are utterly unreliable.

Pros: Nice control panel. Pretty responsive support. Cons: Switched servers from Linux to Solaris without notice.
Summary: Cedant switched from Linux to Solaris without any notification whatsoever (well, they said they were switching servers, but failed to mention the OS). This is a cardinal sin IMHO. It broke my scripts (which I had to discover the hard way), and cost me ... read more
