Cons: no documentation, support, basic installations do not work

Westhost offers tomcat and chilisoft on some of its vps packages. However when you install these servers the sample applications do not even work. Look to put in long hours getting even basic things working. The site manager does nothing. They do not even provide any guidance in the proper way to stop/start servers. Totally self serv with no support. The basic installs do not work and you must fix it for them. Total waste of time.

You will notice that the old reviews are positive. They used to be a great host, but in recent times have changed. My site speed has rapidly declined as they over sell their bandwidth. Every attempt to fix the issue was riddled with excuses and the worst thing is if you read their policies, NO REFUNDS. So even though their service has declined you don't get your money back! Stay clear of them and save yourself the time, money, and hassle!
