I've hosted a small business site through XO for approximately four months now (I've previously hosted sites with various discount and local hosting providers). The functionality and automation of the XO system is top-notch, and reliability has been perfect to date. I'm very happy with the hosting selection.

There are thousands of companies that will host your site; I made my decision based on price, brand, and feature options. The price was in my range ($25 per month; $20 per month if you pay for a full year up front), I was satisfied with the XO brand (it's a new merger between Concentric and NextLink), and the upgrade options were plentiful. I've not needed them yet, but they are always a click away.

The most significant aspect of hosting, to me (besides reliability), is the amount of automation and control I have over the site. I don't like to work through a middleman for anything, and XO excels in giving me the control. With their extensive and excellent online administration page, I can check statistics, edit HTML on the fly, check e-mail accounts, upgrade my account to include additional features or change my service plan, view my current billing information, and a host of other traditional functions... it's all very painless, immediate, and completely in the user's hands.

The total package from XO is well worth the price, and, like I said, reliability has not been an issue. Definitely check the XO offerings out, and, if the price and package offerings match your needs -- you won't be disappointed by the product you buy.
