From Nobody, To Nobody's Somebody!

Jan 07 '01

First off, you have to get a good manager to help put you all together, get a record company and sign a contract. It's not easy. Obviously, you have to be able to sing, also you have to be able to dance and, in this cruel, democratic world, you have to look half presentable. Also, you have to have a personality that shines! People have to be able to tell each member apart. You can't be shy or you will never make it. It's also helpful to be able to write a pretty entertaining autobiography.

As I said before. It isn't easy. The harsh truth is that they won't take you just because you can sing, you have to have charisma and style. Sure, if you get famous you can make billions of dollars even, but first, you will probably have to settle with a back alley apartment, this is because you can't hold up a job and attempt to make a recorded band.

So first of all, I say think VERY carefully about what you want to do before you go off to make a band. Jumping to the conclusion that you will be famous and always be famous isn't a very good idea, look where the Spice Girls ended up! Also, you are allowd to have hopes, look at the comeback ABBA made! So plan it out, but it is nice to leave some things out to be surprises!
