Why starting a band is dumb

Hi, I started a few band with my frineds around town. And it never works and we always hype it up and think were gonna be good. But we realize we cant even play some covers let alone creat song and alsmot always someone has a different idea on what type of music to be. I like punk and hard stuff like that and ive had gitarists and bassists say lets do thsi or play this and its realy annoying for me cause its usually a band i dont like and almost never do you find a guitarist that can sing and play and it just holds things back and almost always there is a "creative difference"
