How to Know When You are Addicted

I made this list for my cloth diapering friends, and my February board (where most of my cloth diapering friends congregate) and I thought I would share it here with the cloth diapering Moms here. I am hard at work considering a second list, so stay tuned. <G>

Ways to know that you are hopelessly addicted to cloth diapers.

1) When someone mentions a "CD" you automatically assume it's a diaper.

2) You visit the fabric store just to see the prints that adorn your baby's bum on the bolt.

3) You visit the fabric store to fantasize about what a diaper in THAT fabric would be...."Oh that would be sooooo CUTE!!!"

4) You engage in a heated debate with another cloth diapering mom about the fleece vs. nylon covers.

5) Same as above, only velcro Vs snaps.

6) You buy expensive biodegradable laundry detergent JUST for use on your diapers.

7) You have "special occasion" diapers.

8) Your husband uses a "special occasion" diaper on an occasion that is not special and fails to treat it with proper respect and reverence.

9} You consider calling a lawyer about offense #8.

10) You consider having said diaper dry cleaned from now on.

11) You make your own diapers but still pay inflated prices for diapers on auction because you "Just HAD to have that one."

12) You set up a secret bank account so your husband won't know how much you actually spend on cloth diapers.

13) You coordinate what your child wears with what diaper you start out the day with.

14) Same as above in reference to packing a diaper bag.

15) You sniff disdainfully when passing packages of cloth diapers in stores muttering to yourself "overpriced burp cloths."

16) You tell your grandmother she doesn't know the first thing about cloth diapers.

17) You try to convince your friend with 6 children to get her tubes untied so she can "give cloth a chance."

18) You tell anyone who will listen how you managed to finally get that Technicolor stain out of your second favorite diaper.

19) You choose diaper rash ointment on whether or not it will stain your diapers.

20) Diaper washing day is a holy day, and requires strict adherence to ritual.
