tough job for me

Since i am the full time dad of a two year old I do all the day time fun stuff like potty training. I have read a lot of epionons on this subject and have gotten some good info. I thought i would try early since my daughter is a very smart child and a fast learner but for some reason she is not taking to the potty as quickly as i would like. Key word is not I but her. I was told a long time ago that it is not wise to push a child or punish them for not going on their own. there was a spell there that she was actually doing well then all of a sudden she just stopped. I also heard that a good way is to reward the child for going on the potty, so i did that also. I would give her one or two m&m's every time she went on her own. I was thinking about just putting her in pants and telling her she has to go in the potty like the big girl she is, sort of like what i did with her bottle at a year old, just said ok time to start with a sippy cup like a big girl and she took to it right away. Like everything with kids i guess it is trial and error and having the patience of a good daddy I am sure it will come soon. :)
