Is it my toy or my son's toy??Nov 13, 2000 Write an essay on this topic.I have to say that I love this toy as much as my son does but sometimes that is part of the fun in being a parent...Having an excuse to play with kids' toys. :) It is called Tumbling Ernie. It is a Tyco Toddler Sesame Street toy of Ernie from the famous Bert and Ernie duo. What makes him so fun is that when you sit him down his head falls forward and he does a perfect tumble but with less than a perfect landing. He lands flat on his back!! LOL. His head is very hard plastic but the hat is harder. I am assuming that is where the weight is that makes him fall over. The hat top is flat so it creates a perfect surface for the second or two he stands upright on his head. The rest of his body is soft and plush. He is dressed in his characteristic striped shirt with blue overalls and blue shoes. Tumbling Ernie is surface washable only. It says the age recommendation is from 2 to 5 years of age and I may agree that for your child to use it that may be the case. However, my son is only 10 months old and loves to watch him when we play on the kitchen floor. The giggles from him are my reward for spending time playing with him. When he is asleep in his crib in our bedroom I sneak out to the kitchen to play with this toy. I can't help it for it really is a fun toy and I end up laughing with nearly as much delight as my son did. I have no idea as to the cost of this as I received it as a gift from my mother for our son. The code number on the tag is 62211 and the upc code is 48188 62211 for those of you that may have that new computer mouse thing. I really do recommend this toy even for those as young as ten months as long as you are playing with them. I also recommend it for the parents as I have enjoyed many a time with my new pal Ernie. <smile> =^..^= BlackCat2 |
