Tears of SorrowJan 26 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I have never been moved as I was reading this, about your poor dog. I understand every word you wrote. I also believe that children can and should be told and talked to about death. They have more going on in their heads then adults give them credit for. And like your 3 children, all will handle it differently. Each in his\her own way. Some will cry, some will show anger and yet others go silently into their own thoughts. I too lost a pet quite a few years ago, when I was a kid. And my parents told me about the facts of death at that time. I am so greatfull they did. I don't think it makes facing death now any easier, but I seem to deal a little better with all that goes with it. Thank you for such a touching story. And hopefully some day you and your family will have another dog to give love and a home to.  |
