Xenophobia, whats that?

Australia is seen as a multi-cultural society that has many ethnic groups that help shape the face of Australia's society. Growing up in a family that was from Tonga i have learned many things from my dear parents. How to trust people, how to be tolerant and how to appreciate the cultural diversity of Australia.
I always believed that everyone was the same, even though we may look different. Growing up away from my parents (a boarder at some yuck private school) I have had to change and to learn new things.
What really makes me angry is the racial stereotypes many people have, people go around saying oh look at those abos probably on welfare, or all asians are bad drivers.
It gets more then annoying, you would think that being brought up in a society that has so many ethnic groups people would learnt to appreciate them and not to be so ignorant.
How can a group of people expect to succeed if they cannot agree on anything? How can Australia expect to become an independent nation if we cannot even apologise to our Indigenous Australians? Apologise to the group that were here first, to say sorry for separating their children from them only for those children to be sexually abused by the men and women who vowed to 'educate' them?
Australia's Prime Minister is an outright bigot, who hides behind his policies. So while Australia slowly erodes away from the racial stereotypes he continues to spend our $12 million dollar fuel excise on some dammn country roads!!!
Why not spend that money on educating the parents of children in racial tolerance, and then spend some more money on educating the children on the future and then spend some money implementing a school system that encourages children to express their ethnic backgrounds WITHOUT the fear of racial persecution!
Or maybe this is a problem that is already out of control, if it is who should we blame? Tell me why I'm so different to you?
