Boy Babies and Reproductive Health Please read.Jan 02 '01 Write an essay on this topic.Hi, This isn't a review of a specific product, more of a general warning to all mommies of little boys. I heard on the radio the other day that some doctors in England or Sweeden had concluded a 30 year study linking Disposable, plastic covered diapers to lower sperm counts and testicular cancer in adult males. It seems that the diapers keep too much heat in, raising the temperatures inside the diaper to over 98 degrees. Apparently the testicles require a temperature below 97 to stay healthy. The doctors said that in their study those men who's parents used plastic covered disposable diapers when they were infants were more likely to develop prostate and testicular cancer later in life. I had always felt that the more enclosed, the less breathing a diaper could do was condusive to those horrible yeast diaper rashes. My third girl used to get them so bad that her little but would actually bleed. This all stopped once I switched brands from Luvs to Huggies supreme. I also left her without a diaper for about an hour a day after she did her big business. And if it was a nice warm sunny day I let her play au natural in the back yard with the sprinkler!
