Pros: nice resculpt, CommTech chip actually sounds good!
Cons: not a very popular character, his colors are still inaccurate

| zobovor's Full Review: COMMTECH Figure--Greedo |
Greedo was the funky green alien who tried and failed to kill Han Solo after the pilot betrayed Jabba the Hutt. Although he is granted only few minutes of screen time, he is one of the few incidental characters to get more than one action figure. He is also perhaps the only CommTech figure to have just about his entire repertoire of dialogue on one chip, since he died in Star Wars: A New Hope after having just one conversation.
The main reason Greedo was re-released was to include him in the cardboard 3-D diorama of the Mos Eisley Cantina, and more importantly, to give Han Solo's CommTech chip someone to keep it company. To that end, Greedo has been retooled with bending knees, enabling him to sit in a booth and have Han Solo shoot him (or have Solo shoot back, if the Special Edition is to be believed).
Unfortunately, the figure wasn't improved enough. His head was resculpted and does look more like his film representation; his suction cup-tipped hands were redesigned so he can actually hold his blaster; and his vest can be removed. My main complaint is that his pastel colors still don't match his appearance in the movie. His vest should be a much dirtier orange, and his jumpsuit should be a darker green. Given how seedy the cantina is, I was really surprised Hasbro didn't apply a brown paint wash to the figure, as they've recently been fond of doing. Also, as long as they were tweaking the mold, it would have been nice to see some elbow articulation.
I have to admit that I am impressed with the CommTech chip, however. It actually sounds like Greedo, and contains some rather lengthy lines of dialogue. This is CommTechnology executed correctly; if every voice chip were as accurate as this one was, they would have been the smashing success they were meant to be.
Greedo is, essentially, an accessory figure. He compliments the Han Solo CommTech figure nicely, and you basically have to have him if you've got the Mos Eisley Cantina set, but he's not really worth having on his own unless you're a Greedo fanatic. It seems like Hasbro only released him in order to get consumers to complete the scene from the movie... but as Greedo himself said, "cuchlee numaa" (that's the idea).
