The Family DogFeb 28 '00 Write an essay on this topic.My family has had three different dogs and we finally hit upon the perfect family dog. I should have realized this was the right dog from the beginning because it was the same type of dog that I had when I was a kid. It is a German Short Haired Pointer. They are bred for the purpose of hunting upland game such as pheasant and quail and they also are good waterfowl dogs. There coat is naturally water repellant and they have webbed feet to help with their swimming. Ours is the perfect family pet, he let's my children play all over him and doesn't let it bother him. He is also a very loyal dog. He will do anything I tell him and is a quick learner. When my wife or kids call the dog and I call the dog he will come to me first because of his loyalty. He house broke himself without any trouble. This dog is the perfect companion to our household.  |
