Pros: Allows parents and educators to teach children to be aware of strangers without frightening them and without making them anti-social.

Cons: looks like a coloring and activity book.

The book "Be Street Smart - Be safe" is a very important addition to any home with children any elementary classroom and any police program for young children. Many parents avoid the topic of stranger danger because they do not want to scare their children. It can be a scary topic unless it is approached with enjoyment and fun.
The Book is written completely in rhyme with repeating refrains. It contains games, puzzles and fun activities. But the thing I found most important is that it teaches children to behave according to whether they are being watched, or are alone. Each scenario in the book begins with a positive situation followed by "But what if you are alone and..."
It helps parents to teach their kids safety without giving them a blanket statement or mixed messages.
