I sure do miss being pregnant. I got so much attention when I was pregnant. My husband used to give me back rubs all the time, now I have to beg him if I want to get my back rubbed. People wouldn’t let me lift things because I was pregnant. I really miss getting treated like I am a delicate flower.
When I was pregnant it seemed like everything revolved around me. No wonder why it is so hard for woman after having a baby, she is no longer the center of attention. Just because you are pregnant you can get special treatment. For instance let us say that there is a long line for the woman’s bathroom (surprise surprise…) and of course being pregnant you really have to go to the bathroom. Well sometimes women will let you go ahead of them just because you are pregnant, especially if they have children of their own. They usually remember what it was like to be pregnant. Now, when else in life can you cut in line for the women’s bathroom?
Your man will also do anything for you at this time in your life. When you have a craving for popcorn at midnight you can get your husband to go out to the store in a downpour just to buy you a bag of popcorn. When else can you get a man to wait on you hand and foot? There were many times when I was pregnant that I would get a craving for chocolate or popcorn in the middle of the night, and my fiancé (at the time) would go to the store to buy me whatever I wanted. I really loved the way he would take care of me. It was so sweet.
Of course during this time of pregnancy your hair and skin will be at its best. If you are like me and break out for just about anything, then you will be surprised to see how clear your complexion is while you are pregnant. And your hair will be very silky. I don’t really know why this is, but who cares your hair and skin look great.
It is an unbelievable feeling when you first feel your baby move. I wish I could describe it to all you soon to be mothers out there, but you will just have to experience it for yourself. It is truly unbelievable.
Now there are some downfalls to being pregnant. You get really big, and of course you think you look just awful, but your man will think that you are the most beautiful person in the world. So there is really no need to worry about how huge you get, because no matter what your husband will view you as the “Goddess” that you are.
You will also usually get stretch marks, and these don’t go away. They are the worst on really light skinned ladies, but I think it is all worth it.
The nine months of waiting for your little one to make her first appearance may seem endless, but when the day finally comes you will be so amazed by this wonderful little creation. When you look back on your pregnancy you will say it wasn’t long enough. Being pregnant was a good time in my life. Sure you get back aches, your fingers and ankles swell, you get huge, but it really is the best time in a woman’s life. You are so special at this time. You are carrying another human life, and that is so important. So all you pregnant woman out there, when you get down in the dumps because you can’t stand how big you are getting, or because your back hurts; just remember you are carrying another human life and that is so special. It really is worth the entire hassle, trust me.
