I received this cradle as a gift from a friend who swore by it. It came with the pretty bumper pads (you'll need them when they roll all over!), sheets and comforter. At first, it seemed ideal. It was small enough to fit at the foot of our bed AND it would rock my newborn son to sleep.
Maybe with a smaller newborn, this might last longer in your home. But I had an almost 9 lb. "new"born LOL, so it seemed like every time he moved around at all, he began rocking the cradle. Often he would wake up crying because he had "rocked" himself into the side and couldn't get back to the middle of the bed. He stayed in the cradle for 6 weeks, how I don't know.
The cradle does come with two pins that will stop it from rocking, but he still was just too big for it. Plus, I thought the point of a cradle was to rock.
I kept EVERYTHING that my son has used since he was born (he's 5 months now), but I sold this product, cradle and all in a garage sale for $35. Best $35 I ever made.
