The Love of Family by Jev04again | Nov 06 '00 I'd like to share with you a quote that I have always loved, and one I think of at least once a day. It helps me to remember how important family is, and how cherished they are to my life: "No matter what you've done for yourself or for humanity,...Return to opinion

Hi Bettega :-) Thank you for your very nice comment. At this point in my life, I realize more than ever how important it is to cherish family. So many things, good and bad, have happened since I wrote down my thoughts and it has only cemented the resolve that I have to treasure each moment with the people who matter the most to my heart.
Oh... and your Grandmother?? A very wise woman, indeed :-)
Thank you again - keep loving life, and enjoy each and every moment.
Warmly -
- Sunni

...the greatest treasure of all is family.
Things get pretty boring fast. Life is really not all that pleasant or exciting and everything gets old and stale if one is left to languish by their lonesome. =(
So many people get so confused and lose sight of the small but important things. That's what my grandmother always says, that you shouldn't wait for big important things to happen because you'll get bored waiting and pass by all the little pleasures to share with your family that make life worth living.
Best regards!
Bettega

Geoff,
Thank you for taking time to read my opinion. I understand your point about being there when it matters, and in the end that's what counts. I appreciate your honesty, and I will keep your family in my thoughts. God bless you always. ~Jev

While my family is not the "touchy-feely" type, we do come together when it matters. For example, when one member developed a drinkgin problem, we came together, and with that support, were able to bring that member back from the edge.
We always have a blast at family gatherings, but would probably kill each other if we were together too often. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say..
