Vibrating Bouncy Seat

Jan 15 '00

When we were pregnant with our daughter my husband went to a class at the hospital called "Just for Dad's" He met with other dads and nurses and discussed the birth process and what it will be like with a new baby.

One of the dads had already had a baby before and he told my husband not to get a swing but a vibrating bouncy seat. He said it was the best! He came home and told me this and I was not impressed. I had the cutest swing picked out.

We didn't get it right away and our daughter was born. We brought her home and she was too small for a swing still so I gave in. We went to the store and purchased the seat when she was 3 days old. She kind of sank into it perfectly and we even put a car seat head supporter in it. She loved it. It helped her to see the world as she got older but still was unable to sit.

The vibrating would put her to sleep immediately. We only used it when we wanted her to take a nap or she would have slept all day.

Another great use for these seats (doesn't need vibrator) is they are the perfect seats to feed baby its first cereals. It is washable so there is not a problem with a mess and it is a lot easier to use when in the house than the car seat carrier.

We never saw that dad that recommended the seat again but if you are out there reading this THANK YOU!!!! It is a great idea and we will use it for our next child as well.
