Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!
May 13 '00 (Updated May 11 '03)
The Bottom Line Motherhood is a tough, sometimes thankless job, but it also has so many rewards! I highly recommend it!
I want to wish all mothers everywhere a "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"!
After today, Mother's Day will be "over" for another year but, of course, MOMS go on doing what they do best for their families and their children...often without thanks or even acknowledgment.
Last week my son's school had a "Parent Appreciation Night". It was a wonderful night in which the students who will be graduating from junior high took turns reading a paragraph, which they had composed, about why they appreciate their Moms and Dads. Let me tell you, there was not a dry eye in the place!
I was, naturally, very proud of my son and the beautiful words he spoke to me. But there was one young lady who shared a poem. I do not know where she found it, but it really hit home. I liked it so much, I sent it to my own mother for Mother's Day.
I would like to share it with you. Hope you like it as much as I did.
"I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see,
I sought my God, but my God eluded me,
I sought my MOTHER and I found all three."
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of our mothers, living and deceased! Without Mom, where would we be?
Thanks for reading!
