Horror of divorce

Apr 03 '00

Divorce is becoming the norm in society and it traumatizes both parents and children alike. I have only been married once, and luckily for me, the marriage is strong. My wife, however, has been married before.

Divorce is not always nice, her ex husband basically tried every dirty trick in the book to stay married, but finally the divorce came through. Words of hatred tired to convince my wife that she would never find a man that would take on her and two kids. Even when we married, he told her that the fairy tale would end soon. Guess what, he was wrong.

Not only did he try mental cruelty with my wife, but also his children, who he claims to love so much. Countless times has he tried to 'poison' my relationship with them. How many more times can he be the 'good time' father, letting them get away with anything, before they realise what he is and what he is doing to us all!

As I say, divorce is not nice. My wife still cannot believe that she is not dreaming and that everything is going to be ok, my children are constantly crying, as they try to understand their 'sire'.

Maybe one day he will grow up and see the damage he is doing, but until then I can only give my love and support to my family.
