Marriage: Should you or shouldn't you?Jun 02 '00 Write an essay on this topic.Often I have heard women writing online and in real life, asking if they should go through with it or not... Well, if you think getting married is "going through with it" then obviously you should wait a little longer. What do you do if you already have a date set? Or if the date is approaching? If you love the man enough to commit the rest of your life to him, you should be able to talk to him about your feelings. Tell him everything. The best marriage is an open marriage. I feel bad for the woman who have to watch those tv shows and movies where the man is constantly saying, or being told, how having a wife is like a ball and chain. Where are the marriages that happen because they are incredibly in love? Where are the romantic thoughts? Does the year of intimate bliss still exist? How long before the arguing starts? If you ask yourself these questions, and don't come up with positive answers, you are not ready to get married. If he loves you, he will wait. You don't have to wait apart, you can continue to be engaged.  |
