Of cloths diapers but what about how you care for them when they are dirty. there is probably more ways to diaper with cloth than plastic, but after 4 kids & trying many different brands of cloth & plastic the best was Diaper service, You are going to have to pay no matter what you use so the money should`t be an issue.
After 1yr of diaper service I decided to buy used diapers from the diaper service, Before you say YUCK! I worked for the small service [they served about 65 familys] for about a year now & know that they are cleaner than when I used to wash mine at home.
They are washed through 3 wash cycles then hand checked for stains before drying, then hand checked again after, yes to get the stains we missed the first time, then Rewashed through a special stain process. [snow blindness is a hard thing to avoid] they are even ph balances with a special softener just made for diaper services diapers!
For about $1.00 each I got 3 dozen very good quality diapers.
No I dont soke them,I only rinse the really messy ones Or just dump the solid waste,I wash them 2 times back to back, I dont use bleach, hanging them out in the sun is better , even in freezing cold the ice is good to help lift stains just rewash if you like them real white .I dont hang them out much but I like to.
The reason I started to use cloth was because we don`t get garbage pick & if I couldnt get out because of bad weather Keeping those dirty dipers in the house for days [to keep the animals from getting into the trash] was a lot worse than carring a dirty cloth diaper to the wash to be washed. If your reason for not using them is the hassel of carring them home after going out,[I use a small bag you carry your swimming suit home in.] I have not had a problem with leaking. My last son had a bad reaction to the gel in the plastic diapers, with cloth diapers rashes haven`t been a problem.
If your thinking about trying cloth diapers dont let someones experence decided for you, it never to late to try them , you may be glad you did.
Even if you use plastic diapers its a good Idea for all moms to have some cloth diapers on hand incase you run out.
