When will it be my turn?
by shyann | Feb 04 '00
My worst nightmare came true only 1year and 3months after I married the most wonderful man on earth. We could not conceive a child. I felt like such a failure. In January, 1998, we made the decision like almost every other couple to have a child...

Shyann, I just wanted to say good luck. PCO is one of the easier causes of infertility to treat (I know this is hard for you to believe right now!) and I hope you find success.

Although my story is a little different, I know about and share some of your pain and frustration.

My RE has his ultra sound equipment in his office and does them himself. He only charges $25 per office visit for an established patient becasue he understands the high cost of infertility treatment. Why make the pain of infertility even more with high medical bills. I count myself very fortunate to have found me RE.

I am sorry you have been through so much. I know how you feel. We will also be doing IVF/ICSI. It looks like your prices are a little low. But, eithher way infertility is very costly. My laparoscopies cost about $10,000 each and my office visits are usually $225. I am lucky my insurance covers $2000 of infertility treatment or diagnosis. Lot's of luck to you.

I hope it will be your turn one day soon. I admire your strength and endurance, and I know you and your husband will make wonderful parents to a much loved baby. I wish I had a surefire answer for you, but at least I can add my prayers to all of your friends' and family's for positive results very soon.

Best wishes,
Shannon
