Here are some creative, relatively inexpensive grab bags you can consider for your next children's birthday party; best of all they won't rot your teeth!
1. Grab bags with all that miscellaneous junk add up. For $5 and change, you can get one beanie baby for every child. The no-brand "beanie babies" run for much less.
2. If you have a instant camera, you have it made. You can make frames for instant pictures or just give them out as is for a great keepsakes.
3. Ever see those cute character toothbrushes for sale? Even if they're not on sale, what mom wouldn't love you for it?
4. Lest we forget food certificates, i.e. soft cone, fries, from McDonald's or another fast food chain.
5. Don't over look the value of gift certificates. What about a free ticket for bowling or the movies? Any good zoos or museums in the area? Ask your family hairdresser if she or he will give you a deal if you buy a bunch of free-hair coupons . (Don't forget to mention that it could probably bring in some good business for her.) You can zip the certificate up in a cute plastic chain purse.
6. What kid wouldn't want a pack of Pokemon cards or stickers.
7. Colorful pencils, erasers and notepads tied in a grab bag make for one practical gift.
8. Girls always love beautiful hairpieces, not to mention jewelry and nail polish.
9. And Boys? Fire hats and badges. Dinosaurs or a bag of plastic bugs. Hit the party aisle in Wal-Mart for all kinds of plastic figurines.
10. Coloring books always make good grab bags, especially if you can find one of those let-me-at-'em, three for a buck sales.
11. Speaking of bucks, don't forget to check out you're local dollar store, ranging from hair clips to chalkboards, they probably got what you're looking for.
