Make Them Eat Normal Food!
Jul 03 '00
Here's what i don't get. Kids look on to their parents and will do whatever they tell them too, most of the time. So why can't this principle work with food? I have a younger sister who ONLY eats cheese pizza. I believe that it's my parents fault for this. They give in to her and let her have her ways. If i was a parent, i'd leave my child with the option of eating the food that the rest of the family eats at the dinner table or doesn't eat at all. Cruel? That's just hypocrisy! Sure, it's alright to wash a kid's mouth out with soap when he/she back-talks or to slap a kid when he does something wrong. But it's not okay to raise a kid on a normal diet? Tough luck kiddie. My advice to parents with picky eaters: The reason your kid is like this is because you go too easy on him/her on this matter. Time for the rules to toughen up. By making your kid eat normal food, it can only help him/her. Eating a diet on one food can do bad things to a kid's immune system and such. Without all the proper nutrients, you, the parent, are depriving your kid.
