It takes a villiage.

Apr 06 '00

There is an old adage that says it takes an entire villiage to raise a single child. It means that one or two parents can't bring up a child. Friends, family, and other loved ones must help to develope the child. We have adopted this practive at the Assembly of God's Children.

There are no real parents. A child becomes part of the community. Each of us, besides our regular jobs, has a specific responsibility for the children. Some of us feed the children, some of us cloth the children, some of us teach math and some of us teach English. But we all have our place. Tommy Wang, our leader, spiritual guide, and best friend, evaluates are skills as we join and puts us to work right away.

My children are much happier this way. They have 127 parents. They have one governing parent, Tommy Wang, and the rest of us simply care for the children. I have 50 children. I bore 2 children, but the other 48 come from other members.

I highly recommend this life style. I know feel complete and want to share it with the rest of the world. I'm not a fruit cake.
