| sk8ct's Full Review: Evenflo On My Way Travel System |
I really like my Evenflo On My Way system. I got mine in 1997 and used it with my son. I was part of the recall, and got and installed the handle locks. I loved the convenience of the infant carrier. We bought and extra base for our second car, and I loved being able to just click it out of the car and into the stroller. My son seemed very comfortable in it, and it held up very well. When he outgrew the the infant seat we could still use the stroller for him. It did very well walking on our neighborhood streets.
When my daughter was born in May, we used the carrier again. But I didn't like the way it fit in the backseat of our new car (Chevy Malibu). She was tilted too far forward for my comfort. So I bought the Position Right car seat, which has the ability to adjust to the height of your particular car. This fit into our existing bases and stroller, but the patterns on the cloth don't match, which doesn't really bother me.
The only drawback to the carrier and the stroller is that it gets heavy as the baby gets up to the 20 lb limit of the carrier. I carry it with an underhand grip, with the "S" shape braced against my forearm. This seems a good way to steady the seat while carrying it, so the baby's head doesn't get giggled too much.
We also bought a lightweight universal infant carrier stroller to use in lieu of the On My Way stroller. It's called Snap and Go LX, and you can find it on babycenter.com. It's really easy to use, and very lightweight. It also folds up pretty small, so that it takes up less space than the On My Way stroller.
