I Must Hug Him!
Jun 02 '00
Affection in a young child's life is so important, it's critical. From the time my son was born I have been showering him with hugs, kisses and telling him I love him. I believe that this interaction is essential to the the best physical and emotional growth in a baby.
One thing I've always enjoyed doing is giving my son a massage after his daily bath... when he was an infant it would sooth him right to sleep. I learned that such firm but gentle touches on your baby's skin causes stimulation in growth and in brain cells. Now my son is thirteen months old and he still enjoys the massage.
Nowadays, my son is the one showering me with hugs and kisses which is really wonderful. It was something I've probably been waiting for all his life and part of mine, too.I know that he will be a very loving person when he grows up.
