Of course I breastfeed!

Jan 28 '00

I have breastfed my son for 13 months now. I have researched the benefits of breastfeeding over formula feeding....let me tell you, formula is SCARY!!! Now, I understand that, physically, some Mothers are unable to breastfeed, but I question those who just do not "want" to nurse their children. Wouldn't those women want the best for their children? It's not like choosing a generic peanut butter over a name brand. Breast milk provides antibodies that formula could never give. Breastfeeding also helps ensure a stronger Mother/Child bond. Besides, who wants to get up in the middle of the night and make a bottle of formula? Why not just roll over and feed your child? Much more convenient and less time consuming. And, you can just fall right back to sleep. I would rather know my son is getting the best I can give.
