When I first got this the depo shot, It worked for me, I was on it for a year and a half. Well then I decided that I wanted to have a baby, Well I went off the shot, and the nurse said that It could take up to 18 months to get a normal cycle. WELL Not for me!! I was having normal cycles the next month, and then I got preggo! Which was news to us because we were told it could take up to 18 months to get preggo! So yes we were planning but atleast 4-5 months down the line. But we got ready for our baby.
I had my baby and thought well I need birthcontrol and I am not breastfeeding(baby was 10 pounds) when born, very hungry. So I decided to get the shot again! WRONG!!
I was on my cycle for 3 months long, Can you imagine 3 months long!! This was not cool, So I called the Doc. and she told me, this happens some times to new mothers because there body has to get used to it again! and she said lets give you another shot when you are do to get on and that should stop the cycle! Guess what! WRONG AGAIN!!!
I had another cycle that last that 3 months!!! What were they thinking!
When the invented this shot they should have tested it on people that had kids, after they had all there hormons messed up from pregency, Because I can not use the shot now, and I think people should know what their chances are, I mean whom wants to have a 3 month cycle!! I sure don't
I would not suggest this way of birthcontrol at all! Go back to the safe old ways.
