This is in response to the epinions from people who claim that they "almost" have twins. Two of my children are very close in age and I went through the feelings of having two babies at one time. But the truth is--that I was comparing apples to oranges! I had a tettering toddler and an infant.
Raising twins is a very unique situation which shouldn't be compared to raising kids "close" in age. I know this because my younger sister has identical twins and a daughter who is 4 years younger than the twins. We've discussed the differences in raising the twins and her younger daughter and from listening to her I can say the experiences were completely different.
Let's leave the epinion writing on Raising Twins to the experts--the parents of twins. Let's not kid ourselves into believing we understand what it's like, because we don't.
