Crackers, Crackers, and More Crackers
May 14 '00
There are no surefire ways to avoid Morning Sickness, because if it is going to happen, it is going to happen. But, one sure-fire way to make it happen less is to have plenty of crackers with you. Crackers seem to settle the stomach, and make you feel less likely to vomit. The first three months of pregnancy, your body is going through so many changes, and that is one reason Morning Sickness is availing itself.
Eating smaller quantities of food at a meal and more meals during the day is also helpful. I know that when something really tastes good during pregnancy, you may want more and more. But, more and more also brings on more chance of Morning Sickness. That is why it is better to eat a little bit and enjoy it very much, and then a little while later, go ahead and have something else, because chances are another craving of a different source of food will kick in.
Usually after the first three months, you are past the Morning Sickness phase, but if not crackers, soda crackers, and even oyster crackers are all a very good resource!
