| mjoseph281's Full Review: Evenflo Trendsetter Travel System |
Like all new and expectant mothers I did a LOT of research when I was pregnant with my daughter (now two years old!). The Evenflo Trendsetter Travel System was a gift we picked out for ourselves. It has made the transition from baby to toddler with flying colors.
We really liked the removable infant seat/carrier. Once the base is installed properly it is very easy to remove the carrier from your car WITHOUT waking up the baby. It installed quickly and easily on the stroller as well. The carrier itself can be heavy and a little awkward to carry but the base has a rounded edge that rocks when placed on the floor. My daughter grew out of the infant seat by the time she was a year old but the convenience during that first year was well worth the extra expense.
We jokingly call our stroller “the limousine” because it is so big! This is what we were looking for and we STILL love it! All moms know the amount of “stuff” you carry around when you have a baby. The Evenflo Trendsetter Travel System has a huge basket under the seat, two side pockets, and drink/snack holders for mom and baby. It also came with a removable snack tray that snaps onto the front of the stroller. Unfortunately, that doesn’t attach very tightly and my daughter would pull it off at every opportunity. There is plenty of room for the diaper bag, toys, snacks, and lots of shopping bags. When my daughter falls asleep I can recline the back of the seat so she can be more comfortable. The sun cover has a little flap that I can roll up and keep an eye on her at the same time.
It is a very durable stroller. We’ve used ours for two years now and it has done a LOT of traveling with us. I always checked mine with the baggage when we flew and it’s held up well. If you’re going to do that I recommend getting a tote for your stroller. It’s a heavy vinyl bag with wheels on one end and a handle for easier carrying. This won’t protect your stroller from being banged around by the baggage carriers but it will protect it from being ripped and dirtied.
