Pros:Saves space.
Cons:Youth bed sheets were hard to find.

For seven years I have used the Child Craft Crib n' Bed. First with my oldest daughter in 1993 and then again in 1997 for my second daughter.

Not only is it safe, but it is practical. The crib slats are spaced two inches apart which is small enough to prevent accidents and also meets child safety standards. You also need two hands to release the crib rail. The release points are on the outside of the rail and require you to slide them in order to release the bar. The mattress is low enough that it prevents and an older baby from climbing out.

I enjoyed the convenience of having everything I needed in one place. Being able to change the baby on the attached changing table and the four drawers built into the crib were a great space saver. The two drawers below the mattress were large enough to store clothes and extra sheets for the crib. While my kids were infants I used the smaller drawers under the changing area to store diapers, powder and other baby items out of reach. Of course when they were strong enough to open these drawers I had to store these items elsewhere.

When my oldest was two we had no trouble converting it to the youth bed. The only draw back that we found was trying to find youth bed sheets. In 1993 the only place that carried them near us was JCPenney. We lived in a rural desert town then.

All in all it was one of the best purchases we ever made. Pros easy to assemble and easy to take apart. Cons sheets were hard to find.
